ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the humanistic psychology of the main character. The result of the humanistic psychology of the main character of the novel Ayah, Lelaki itu Mengkhianatiku shows that the problem experienced by someone would get him/her suppressed. The levels of neccesity needed will be a little bit stuck as he/she is in the suppressed condition. The novel, Ayah, Lelaki itu Mengkhianatiku tells about a woman named Ratri who becomes the wife of a rich and respectful guy named Ir. Ratri devotes her life to Ir and his family. However, her devotion to the family seems to be vein when there comes another woman who claims to be pregnant as a result of Ir’s love affair. Consequently the betrayal committed by Ir causes Ratri to get suppresed and subsequently she gets stuck in fulfilling her needs maximumly.
