SUMMARY

Cinematographic technique is closely related to the making of a film. The use of good technique can produce a quality film. Regarding a film, Indonesia has a lot to produce the best films produced by filmmakers. In making a film, the filmmakers had to present an interesting story line, one example is the storyline of romance. Theme of romance is also an attraction for one director in Indonesia, Mira Lesmana, which produces mini drama “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2014” with a duration of 10 minutes and 24 seconds.
Mini-drama “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2014” has a special attraction for the audience, because the actor who used the same as the cast of the film “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta” in 2002. The story line on the mini dramas continue the ending of the movie “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta”, but not for the second sequel. Making mini drama to promote the newest features of the LINE app called “Find Alumni”. Serving on a mini drama attractively packaged, distributed through a social media messages, making it easier for users to be able to watch LINE mini drama “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2014”.
This study analyzes the mini drama “Ada Apa Dengan Cinta 2014” in terms of cinematography in a dish shooting, using aesthetic theories belong Breadsley Monroe. Monroe theory Breadsley has three aspects: complexity, unity aspects, and aspects of intensity. Aspects of complexity found discussion about the character, the aspect of unity is found in the form of discussion of the meaning of a shooting, found the discussion of such aspects intensity image with the consistency of the storyline. Serving mini drama to kahalayak also explained by researchers, aims to demonstrate the technique ad campaign through a mini drama. The results showed the meaning of cinematographic technique in a shooting, so that researchers can determine the layout of the camera as well as blocking the cast to look attractive on a screen. Researchers analyzed the character of each character through clothing worn, speaking style, and facial expressions. Analysis further research is the consistency of the storyline with images, aims to determine the suitability of the story with the scene location, the layout of the property, as well as time. A discussion of cinematographic storyline is also described in this study, to determine the grain of shooting as well as parts of the story from the opening to closing, through images that have been reduced by the researcher.
