Abstract: This article analyzes the communication patterns in the assembly in SMP Islam Bustanul Ulum. The research method used in this article is qualitative  method with ethnography of communication approach. The purpose of this research is to get the communication patterns in the school assembly in SMP Islam Bustanul Ulum. The result of the research shows that there are different communication patterns in the school assembly in SMP Islam Bustanul Ulum that are identified based on the kinds of speech acts, which are opening, order, information, question, answer, confirmation, understanding, conclussion, clossing, evaluation, solution, offering, denying, agreement, contra, finishing, greeting, the answer of greeting, although not all of those speech acts appear in the main part of the assembly. Speech acts that always appear in the assembly are speech acts of order, question, information, and clossing.
